Guided Fly and Light Tackle Fishing
by Flats Boat

Southwest Florida is one of the best areas in teh country for light tackle, shallow water saltwater fishing. With countless miles of mangrove shorelines, beautiful grass flats, and an endless number of creeks, oysterbars, and hidden lakes, the area surrounding Cape Coral and Pine Island offer some of the most unique angling opportunities anywhere.

Nothing beats a backcounty tarpon caught on fly or light tackle.

Because I am foremost a fly angler, I specialize in sightfishing and only pole my skiff unless we are offshore or canal fishing at night. I also know how to fish the backcountry and get you out of the wind. I do not chum or use bait - all fishing is either artificial or fly and if you want to fly fish primarily, let me know if you want me to bring spin tackle. I specialize in teaching and will commit myself to the type of fishing you are interested in.

Redfish are a year round species and can be target on the flats and in the mangroves by either fly or spin.

Snook are another year round species that will inhale an artificial lure or fly.

.
I am now putting together my schedule for Spring 2008. Make reservations soon if you want to get on my calendar. I always have openings here and there, so don't hesitate to drop me an e-mail if you're looking for availability a week or so out from your trip.

Tripletail are a great target for fly anglers and off shore trips are possible when the conditions are right..
